Green Tech Academy Tours & Application Now Available

The application to attend the Green Tech Academy @ Small Middle School on a curriculum transfer is now open. This includes the STEM Advanced Learner, Green Tech, Tech Project Lead the Way, Tech Career and Technology Education, and Green Environmental Sciences.


PLEASE *DO NOT* COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION IF YOU LIVE WITHIN SMALL'S ATTENDANCE ZONE. If you are unsure whether you live in Small's attendance zone click the following link to check application is only for students who live OUTSIDE our attendance area.


STEP 1: Complete the AISD Common Application.

All applicants must complete the AISD Common Application available through your Parent Cloud account. Non-AISD families will need to set-up a temporary account. You can do this at

STEP 2: Complete Small's Application by submitting this form.

Current Austin ISD Students: By submitting the online application form you give permission for our staff to access your student's STAAR scores and first semester 2017 Report Card Grades directly from AISD's Information System.  


Non-AISD students: STAAR or other standardized test scores (e.g. ITBS) AND First Semester 2017 Report Card grades must be submitted to Small by 4:00 p.m. February 2, 2018.**

To submit a paper copy of the application, please download this document, print, complete, and submit. You may submit via email to, fax to 512-841-6703, or hand deliver to our front office. Please note, you will still need to complete the AISD Common Application via the Parent Cloud.


Please note:  Applicants who are accepted to the Academy on curriculum transfer to Small MS must provide their own transportation. Small MS is on the City Bus Routes 311 and 5 (bus passes for economically disadvantaged students may be provided by scholarship).
