National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is a national organization that recognizes students in middle school for their achievement in academic scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Applications for the NJHS program are accepted in the fall semester. Students apply in 6th and 7th grade to become members in the spring. Please watch the Cougar News for more information.

Clint Small Middle School was granted its NJHS charter in 2016 and is obligated to follow the national standards, not expectations set by the school district or campus. NJHS members (8th graders) and candidates (6th and 7th grade applicants) participate in many service activities to benefit their campus and community.

If you have questions, please contact our campus NJHS sponsor Ms. Shelby Ottley Bujan  at shelby.ottleybujan@austinisd.org.
